A Mysterious Glitch with Avast Premium Security 2023 on Android

As a long-time user of Avast Premium Security, I was surprised to encounter an unusual issue with the latest version (23.7.6074) installed on my Android device. Despite running smoothly in Silent Mode for several good years, I recently started experiencing a peculiar problem that left me stumped.
